Description
The Dirndl used to be a Munich servant's costume. From the end of the 19th century, city dwellers wore it on trips to the countryside or as a simple summer dress. Today's dirndl consists of a low-cut top, a wide skirt and an apron. It is worn in Munich for the Oktoberfest, in the pubs or on festive occasions and is considered a symbol of the city.
The Dirndl bracelet is made in southern Germany. The Munich symbol is plated in fine gold and the fabric ribbon is hand-knotted.
